Science Fiction is wonderfully entertaining and often thought provoking. Many of the writers are true genius. While much of the content and concepts are indeed contrary to Christian/Biblical truth (a fact a believer must always keep in mind) many of the writers present issues that can significantly increase our knowledge of this vast universe/creation and our understanding of the way the world views the future and even many current social issues. At times these insights can even help us to better grasp some of the deeper Biblical concepts. I know that I have gained a small degree of understanding of the Biblical relationship/melding between time and eternity from my reading of Isaac Assamov's novel THE END OF ETERNITY and I am sure this is true of other concepts.

While we can enjoy fine Sci Fi, those of us that know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior also know that the most brilliant dreams and imaginations of the most gifted Sci Fi writers pale in comparison to the future God has in store for His people .
