My Kids
 
Kelison Richard Helms III (aka: Dick) is my eldest son. Kelison (as he prefers to be called) is a great guy and a son to be proud of. A graduate draftsman, Kelison lives here in Wellsville where he practices his trade as a skilled gunsmith.

Kelison is also a sergeant (SGT) (Retired) in the United States Army Reserve and recently returned from a year's duty in Iraq where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Dick participated  in Operation Iraqi Freedom, being among the first US soldiers to enter harms way and continued as part of the nation building work of  Operation Enduring Freedom following initial hostilities. Like I said, a son to be proud of!

Kelison, an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, lives here in Wellsville with his wife Polly and his two children, John and Baily.

James Herbert Helms (aka: Jim) is my second son, but no less a son to be proud of. A forth generation accounting professional, Jim, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), is currently the controller for St. James Mercy Health, a hospital in Hornell, New York..

Jim also proudly serves in the United States Army Reserve as a sergeant major, head drill instructor. Jim was his division's 2004 Drill Sergeant of the Year and competed in the United States Army 2004 Drill Sergeant of the Year competition finishing second. Way to Go Jim! Like I said, another son to be proud of!

Jim is a avid runner and competes in many runs across the country.

Jim and his wife, Dena (Rix), live here in Wellsville with their two (nearly grown) sons, James and Aaron.

Jacqueline Suzanne (Helms) Chambers (aka: Suzi) is my eldest daughter and one fine young woman. Suzi is a full time mother who rightly earns the title of "Super Mom". Truly a daughter to be proud of!

Suzi lives in Onieta, New York with her husband Charlie and their three daughters, Megan, Katie and Nancy, where she is active in the school and community. Like I said, a daughter to be proud of!

Mary Lou Helms (aka: Lou) is my second daughter and again no less a daughter to be proud of. A graduate social worker and mom, Lou is currently working as a geriatric social worker in a Syracuse nursing home.

Lou lives in Bridgeport, New York with her son Joshua.
